Little Scarlet was lifted out at Port Solent for the winter today. It’s going to be a busier winter than usual as she is prepared for a nice long sail around UK next year. Little Scarlet is a well set-up yacht that has largely been used for Solent cruising but there are a range of upgrades that we intend to make to set her up for extended sailing and living onboard. Probably most significant is the complete removal and survey of the mast and rig and replacement of all the standing and running rigging (ropes and wires!). A new anchor chain, chart plotter and heater are also on the list so it will be an expensive winter!
