Big day today. Little Scarlet was re-launched, mast re-stepped and she’s now back on her mooring at Whale Island.
The boatyard team at Port Solent were very efficient with the launch conducted absolutely on time and without any issues. Similarly Martin Leaning’s riggers re-stepped the mast, and set up both the standing and running rigging and were quickly up the mast to resolve an issue with a navigation light fitting. The highlight of the day was the lack of any water leakage through the seacocks that we refurbished! Much relief!
Its good to be away from the boat yard though and back in the water. It’s been difficult to keep the decks clean when climbing on and off from a damp, dirty and gritty yard so I’m particularly keen to give Little Scarlet a really good wash down.
